This volume is for the wintertime. The front cover is a window into Frostwood, the scent of our winter beard goods. Frostwood lies in the kingdom of Jotunheim, the land of the Giants in the fantasy Realm of Beardsgaard that River Peak Apothecary inhabits.
This ancient forest of deep magic has stood still since the dawn of time, narrowly escaping the felling of the Ironwood Age and ravages of Dwarven axes. The back cover is from our Frostwood photo shoot at the Morton Arboretum with a ridiculously good looking and talented friend and illustrator of Beardsgaard and the Apothecary.
The entire journal is overlaid with the map of Beardsgaard. The spine of the journal reads: "Winter in Frostwood Forest • Jotunheim".
