Pink {Heavy Hold Grease}

Pink {Heavy Hold Grease}

$ 17.00

Description: Many modern water-based pomades are formulated to give height and maximum hold. Pomades in the old days were made with animal fat (and scented with apples so you didn't smell like bacon and presumably get eaten by bears) and were meant to compact hair down and smooth it into place.

While those two formulas are so different they could hardly be considered the same category of hair product, this grease is heavy beeswax-based, can be applied and styled with damp hair, tames down a dense Lego man head of hair something fierce, and is one of the lowest-maintenance products you can have on your shelf.

This is old school Dapper Dan stuff, rarely washed, but always looking stellar with its not too shiny sheen and flawless finish. This one smells a bit like pink lemonade (actually, many clients have said it smells like a strip club), and is one of the favorites on our shelf.

Brand: Created by the scumbag godfathers of modern old school barbering, Schorem Haarsnijder En Barbier in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the name Reuzel is dutch for lard, a nod to the old days of pomade when the stuff was made from animal fat.

Directions: Apply sparingly (you can always add more) to slightly damp haid comb through into shape. Wear this one for days on end, just recombing in the morning and removing once or twice a week with a shampoo meant to remove this stuff.

Ingredients: Petrolatum, Beeswax, Mineral Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Hydrogenated Rosin, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Fragrance, Silica, BHT, Benzyl Benzoate, Lilial, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citronellal, Amyl Cinnamal, Eugenol

Size: 4 oz
